Focus Gallery was established in 1971 by Norman Roland and since then it has continued to grow and thrive and become one of Nottinghams most respected and well known places for beautiful and unique art and crafts.
In December 2014 Antonia Disney became the new owner at Focus and with a jewellery and gallery background her ideas are bursting as to where to take the gallery next. Antonia is the fourth owner in nearly 45 years which goes to show how much it is loved by both the owners and the public.
The customer service is always warm and friendly here at Focus Gallery and we want our customers to relax and enjoy the environment without feeling pressured to purchase. We see the gallery as a great place to find inspiration, discover new British Arts and Crafts at it's finest and discover the wealth of valuable techniques used in the UK to create these wonderful pieces of art.
From jewellery, wood, textiles, paintings, glass, ceramics, metalwork and mixed media you will always find something to your taste at Focus Gallery.
With expert advice and a genuine passion for the artwork on show we will help you with finding that special gift, choosing the right piece for a room or just general advice about what we have to offer. We specialise in jewellery and have a whole floor dedicated to sparkling silver, glorious gold and gorgeous gemstones to suit all tastes and requirements.
We also offer one day workshops in various mediums, have a wonderful jewellery school in our workshop and even have on site jewellers for bespoke commissions. More services include, gift vouchers, gift lists for that special occasion and even wedding ring workshops to make your day even more special.
Please feel free to ask us about anything you require and we will be more than happy to help.
We have a small team here at the gallery who all have art and design backgrounds.
Antonia who is the gallery owner has a jewellery degree from Staffordshire University and specilaised in jewellery. Sophie, our apprentice who is doing a craft apprenticeship at college and is second in command. Why not read Sophie's blog where she documents her progress throughout the course. We aslo have a number of volunteers who help run the gallery with us and are always on the lookout for more to build up their CV's.
